The November 2008 Winter Park “Concours d’Elegance” weekend

The November 2008 Winter Park Concours d’Elegance weekend was exactly that. Although the event was titled in French, there is nothing more American than the competitive display of elegance and elegant things. Bravo Mr. Webber, The Event Coordinator. Even with some Florida bugs and rain the weekend event was flawless. VehicleSpa was proud to help sponsor and cannot wait for next year. For us the event began at the DuPont Registry Live Aeroport Reception. It was amazing, four huge private hangers opened their doors to an exclusive party where VIP’s were not the stars of the show. A couple of million dollar motor coaches, vintage boats, jets, and of course a host of the most super automobiles studded the yard. There is something spectacular about watching the Dr. Phillips charity art auction while listening to the whistling of jets and the roaring of choppers delivering fashionably late guests.

Sunday morning could not have been better. The VehicleSpa Clean Team arrived on Park Avenue in Winter Park. The cars were perfect and ready for the judges. With over 200 cars lining the streets of Winter Park the VehicleSpa Shuttle would be the only vehicle traveling up and down Park Avenue helping contestants put on the final touches before the judges arrived. Just before lunch the rain came down, not just a drizzle, a Florida downpour. Some went home but sun returned with an entirely new wave of thousands of spectators young and old.
